Bathrooms that can be seen in houses with a modern design, are significantly different from their predecessors. And the difference lies not only in expensive finishes and fashionable plumbing, the main difference is the visual absence of plumbing communications systems. A person sees only the decor, and all thanks to the installation, which can be selected for each individual sanitary ware.

Not everyone will answer the question what the installation for sinks is for, because this word appeared in the lexicon of domestic consumers relatively recently, but if you want to get an aesthetically attractive bathroom, you need to figure out what it is.

In appearance, the installation is a metal frame created from a shaped tube. As a rule, its dimensions are from 350 to 500 mm in width, from 350 to 1300 mm in height, and no more than 75 mm in depth. You can also meet the frame with a depth of about 200 mm, they are used for the installation of large and heavy sinks. The installation parameters depend on the size of the installation niche - the place where all communications are hidden. The frame also contains various devices that facilitate its installation and connection to the metal structure of the sink. These include:

• cross-pieces provide rigidity of the structure, they are made from a shaped pipe;
• fasteners fix the frame to the floor and wall;
• the studs are used to secure the sink;
• sewer drainage is made of plastic, has a rubber seal in the form of a cuff. Its diameter can be 32, 40 or 50 mm;
• The plate for fastening threaded plumbing elements has openings into which metal-plastic connecting parts of the pipeline can be installed, and polypropylene rotating elbows.

It may seem to someone that it is impossible to install the installation by yourself, experience and knowledge are necessary, but this is a delusion. The installation process can be done by hand, even if there are no skills in the plumbing business.

An experienced plumber can fix the faucet without SI. At the same time, all water and sewage pipes are hidden in the wall, and the location of their output is calculated in such a way that, upon completion of the work, only those items whose installation was originally intended are visible. You can save money and not buy the installation.

There are cases when it is difficult to manage without its installation.

• When the sink is mounted on a drywall panel, created at a distance of more than 75 cm from the main wall. Some plumbers cost special mortgage elements (tulips and curbstones), but they do not give the necessary rigidity, and this picture does not look very attractive. In the fashion now conciseness and minimalism, and devices for support are now considered an echo of the past. The installation in this case replaces these devices.
• If the sink is mounted directly in a plasterboard wall, you can not use the SI. In order not to prop up the washbasin with the same cabinet or tulip, you will have to use the installation. It is installed on the floor inside a plasterboard construction and a washstand is connected to it.

There are not so many signs according to which the SI is divided into groups - this is the method of mounting the structure and the type of mixer.

According to the installation method, the installations for the crane are divided into two types.

• Floor designs always have special attachment points to the floor covering. Fixers to the wall may not be (when the frame is installed in the main wall behind the drywall panels).
• Wall SI do not provide for any mounts to the floor, so there is another name for this type of installation - suspended. Installation of such structures is possible only on the main wall or on a very rigid partition.

According to the type of mixer, there are three types of installations.

• Classical. The situation when the corners for connecting the faucet are in the area of ​​sewage disposal. This SI provides for the installation of a washbasin with a faucet already built into it.
• The second type is used when the installation corners are placed on top - such a frame is needed for a wall-mounted faucet, which is most often installed in bathrooms.
• The third type of installation differs in that the details of connecting the mixer are completely absent. Strange as it may sound, but this variant of installation is used most often. This is the so-called universal variation, which allows to install the water supply system in the place chosen by the owner of the premises. For example, if only one mixer is bought (for use in the bathroom and above the sink), then the entire system can be moved to any of the convenient sides.

In addition, the SI can provide for the installation of only one tap to supply either cold or hot water.

To date, the choice of manufacturers of SI is quite large. Each has installation options that will satisfy the wishes and needs of customers.The most popular and frequently purchased products can be called from several companies.

• Geberit - is a Swiss company engaged in the production of installation systems of the Kinbifix and Duofix series. 140 years on the plumbing market, so a large number of customers trust this brand.
• Grohe. German manufacturer, characterized by stability, quality and reliability of products. However, the cost of the SI brand is quite large. The cheapest SI will cost the buyer 4000 rubles. Not everyone can afford such a pleasure.

• Sanit and Viega. Another German representatives, not as popular as the previous brand, but the quality of their products is at the same level, and the prices are much lower.
• Ido - is a Finnish trademark engaged in the production of SI even during the time of the USSR. All plumbing equipment, released on the machines of the Scandinavians, has excellent quality and reasonable price.
