Loft style lamps

This modern style appeared at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries. The style does not imply the use of one large chandelier in the center of the room, but requires the placement of a large number of lamps on the walls, ceiling, floor, tables or shelves.

Lamps are made of metal, the cold glow of which is intended to cause associations with plants and factories, from which the loft originates. The style is based on a game with contrasts, a departure from the colorful decor, because the lamps are made in monochromatic colors and have a smooth surface.

They are suspended from the ceiling with the help of chains, placed on a metal rod, if we are talking about floor models.Lamp shades and ceiling lamps are made in neutral colors - black, gray, white. Aluminum is widely used for the manufacture of lamps. Due to the flexibility of the material, it can be given any shape, while the accessory will be resistant to impacts and external impact. Night lamps have a corrosion-resistant coating, because they are not afraid of a direct hit of liquid, high humidity. The material is also used durable plastic.

Minimalist models, which are based on geometric lines and sharp corners, are versatile and the easiest to integrate into the interior. There are lamps that mimic hanging candlesticks or accessories in the form of spotlights, similar to those that are installed in factories, workshops, industrial facilities. Handicrafts can resemble pipes, be associated with instruments in research laboratories, or represent a large sphere.

The division of lamps into types occurs, depending on their destination. On this basis, the models differ in size, methods of attachment and dimensions. To decorate the space, it is better to use several types of lamps: in this case, the interior will be filled to the maximum.

Types of loft lamps:

• Ceiling. Conventional chandeliers are not suitable for loft interiors and look disharmonious in such a room. Models are made from untreated wood, metal, glass and plastic. If in the center of the room is placed the basic lighting device, it should have large dimensions, be massive.

• Located in a residential area, spotlights turn a room into an expensive apartment, at the same time evoking associations with the film set and the space inside the factory. The light is effectively diffused and evenly distributed around the room due to the high ceilings and a large area.
