Lighting attributes of glass, metal, fabric and other materials perfectly complement any interior of the apartment, but not always satisfied with the owners of the premises because of bored design decisions. Gypsum fixtures are the attributes that allow you to show your creativity, because you can make an individual order in size, shape and even the desired colors of the product. And this model will not be in any room.

Gypsum lamps are used in the interior as the main source of lighting, as a decor or to highlight your favorite paintings, statues and other objects.In the latter case, designers are given plenty of opportunities to embody bold and creative ideas.

Such models have a number of advantages that attract customers:

• Environmentally friendly attribute - it is made of natural material without the addition of harmful components.

The only drawback can be called hygroscopicity, but manufacturers have solved this problem by applying special impregnating agents.

The production of gypsum lamps can be compared with art, since the material itself makes many opportunities for the realization of interesting ideas. Both small products and whole compositions acquire an attractive appearance. This allows the unique properties of gypsum. Due to the fact that this material is natural, the resulting lighting attributes are ecological, and therefore safe for health.

At the first stages of gypsum production, the lamps were created by molding, which resembled the manufacture of clay products. This procedure required a lot of effort and a lot of time, so the technology is constantly being improved. The next step was the threading method.

The modern way of creating plaster lighting attributes - the formation of models under pressure or casting in advance prepared molds for casting. The basis of such forms is made of silicone or metal, and the fastening of the gypsum structure is carried out using a special glue.

In addition, manufacturers can add synthetic resins to plaster mixes, which provide excellent resistance of the future attribute to mechanical stress. Therefore, it is erroneous to assume that the lamps of this material will not last long - they will be more reliable than some glass models.

Models of gypsum lamps are selected in accordance with their location and future destination. Ceiling attributes should be purchased for basic lighting, wall-mounted products are used to highlight certain areas. Both options can be equipped with designer shades or used spotlights. The last option is divided into two types:

• Swivel. Thanks to the ability to change the position, such a spotlight can illuminate several zones simultaneously or focus all the light on one area.
• Pivotal The location is clearly fixed and provides a directional light output.

They can also be single and double: in the first case, a single swivel or a non-turning spotlight is used, in the second - two attributes located next to each other.

Ceiling point models also have several types. According to the method of fixing them to the ceiling there are the following types:

• Embedded with a special platform. Due to the rigid mounting they are installed on any surface of the stretch ceilings.
• Mortise. Such models are used for slatted and stretch ceilings. A hole is made in the surface according to the dimensions of the products, which are then mounted on these places.
• Overhead. Already by the name of the product it is clear that they are superimposed on the ceilings. Such lamps are very easy to use, and even a person without experience will be able to install them.

Depending on the location of the light bulbs attributes are divided into:

• Outdoor They illuminate a fairly large space, but without a directional beam.
• Hidden. They are installed in such a way that there are no protruding elements on the ceiling. But do not use too many of these fixtures, as from the constant temperature drop across the ceiling can go cracks.

Plaster models of lighting devices can be equipped with different types of light bulbs, this will depend on their purpose in the room and the size of the lamp shade and the lamp base itself.

There are the following types of light bulbs:

• Fluorescent. They give a cold light, so they are used in offices or institutions, but not residential premises. Such lamps heat up a little, but do not withstand voltage drops.
• LED. Can be used as a primary or secondary light source (night light, backlight, etc.). They are safe for health, pleasing to the visual perception and are durable.

• Incandescent lamps. They are widely used as primary lighting, as they provide high color reproduction and give a soft diffused light. However, there is a small drawback - they consume a lot of electricity, unlike other types of lamps.
• Halogen. Practical light bulbs that will last a long time. Depending on the shape, they can produce diffused light and be used as a backlight for a specific zone.There are different color solutions, thanks to which the design of the room can significantly change.

Light bulbs differ not only in certain characteristics, but also in their purpose, which is influenced by their size and installation method. For ceiling or wall plaster models fit all types of light bulbs, but the best tandem is obtained from the LED or halogen. It applies to point products. In the second case, low-voltage light bulbs and with a normal voltage can be used.

Lamps made of plaster are installed as a general or zone illumination. In addition to the main purpose, these attributes can serve as decoration elements. The scope of their application is quite diverse: the lighting of paintings, wall panels, small interior items, which I would like to emphasize, as well as high-quality lighting of small rooms or spacious apartments.

Depending on the shape, size and installation of lighting devices, they can have the following uses:

• Spotlights set to highlight certain areas in the room. As a rule, such products are mounted in the ceiling. They have a neat and at the same time stylish appearance.
• Wall models attached to vertical surfaces. Can be used as the main lighting or night light (often used in the bedroom). Such attributes will harmoniously fit into the interior of any stylistic direction - from classic to high-tech.
• Ceiling products with LED lights will give high-quality lighting. Such models will be an excellent alternative to overall chandeliers or ceiling lamps that have already become boring, therefore they will perfectly fit into a room with low ceilings.
