How to use?

There is nothing difficult in painting decorative plaster. You can do this job easily with your own hands. Today there are various types of staining for which their own ways of doing work have been developed.

Coloring in two colors

For this method of painting will need the following tools:

  • foam rubber short roller;
  • roller with a long nap.

The process of painting the surface of the wall with the applied finish occurs in two stages. Initially, a long-hair roller is applied to the entire wall.It is important that the paint layer is uniform, dense, but not thick. Re-paint only the protrusions on the surface of the wall using a foam roller. The paint layer should be thin. Due to the two-stage coloring, the projections become darker, and the rest of the wall retains its original appearance. You can do otherwise. To do this, add a color to the plaster itself and use the mixture on the entire wall before using it, then paint only protruding parts with a foam roller.

Venetian plaster effect

Such staining is performed in 3 stages.

It takes a lot of time, requires diligence in work and consists of the following:

  • Using a roller with a long nap, paint the wall in the main base color.
  • With the help of a small foam roller, the protruding parts are lightly stained with paint with overflow (for example, silverfish mixed with a universal primer in equal parts).
  • Now apply the final coating. To do this, water-based acrylic lacquer is mixed with water in a ratio of 3: 1. To the resulting mixture add a special glitter (glitter) in a small amount. The approximate amount is 1 tbsp. l per liter of water.The resulting mixture is applied in an even layer of medium thickness using a new small foam roller.

As a result, an imitation of natural stone is obtained on the wall. This effect looks good in modern interiors of apartments and country houses. This surface cladding gives space a nobility and hints at the welfare of the owners of the house.

Paint dry brush

In this case, a little color is immediately added to the plaster and then plaster the walls. Further paint paint only protruding parts. The peculiarity of this method lies in the fact that the paint is applied with a practically dry brush, that is, on the brush itself (the coloring agent is applied in a minimum amount).

Highlighting staining

This painting method is suitable for interior walls. Initially, the paint with a water base is further diluted with water. Then, with a wide roller, carefully paint over a section of the wall and immediately erase the paint with a wet clean sponge. As a result, only the depressions on the wall are stained.

Each method of painting decorative plaster is unique and allows you to create a unique interior design of a separate room and the entire building as a whole.It is important to choose the type of plaster and its variant of painting in accordance with the style of the interior and the overall color scheme of the room.
