The Belarusian tile "Keramin" is intended for facing wall and floor surfaces. It is available in a variety of colors, designs, formats and textures. Each collection includes floor and wall tiles, as well as a set of decors - friezes, inserts, panels (made in the general style of the series).

Ceramic tiles can be matte or glossy., textured or smooth straight. The manufacturing process includes several series-parallel steps specific to the manufacture of unglazed and glazed material, respectively.

First, the base is prepared from raw materials. To do this, all materials are first dispensed, then crushed and mixed. Clay is combined with water to the consistency of sour cream, and then ground with non-plastic additives. The result is a slip. The creation stage of press powder consists of several processes, during which it is possible to obtain material ready for pressing with the specified technical parameters.

Then go to the pressing process, which is conducted by semi-dry method. The finished mixture, which has the appearance of a powder, is pressed from both sides, as a result of which the granules are deformed and move. Due to this, the necessary level of strength of the finished product is laid. At this stage, a press having a force of 6200 tons is used.

After the pressing procedure, the tile is dried by hot air. During this process, the tile is first heated, then the excess moisture is evaporated from it and cooled. The next important stage is decoration, during which glaze, design or engobe is applied on the upper side of the tile.

In the production process, the pattern on the tile can be applied in different ways:

• Silk screen printing. The technology in which the drawing is applied with mastic through special stencils.
• Digital printing. This is the most modern way of transferring the pattern to the tile, which allows you to implement any design ideas, as well as to accurately simulate the pattern of various natural materials (stone, marble, wood). In addition, the technology of digital printing is very convenient for the production of trial editions of tiles and launch a series of new products.
• Rotocolor technology It makes it possible to apply to the tile not only a drawing, but also the texture of natural materials, which is ensured by using a special drum with a silicone coating, from which the relief is transferred to the tile blank.

Glaze is applied on dried or already burned tiles. To create the glaze, the company uses: kaolin, frit, sand, coloring pigments, oxides. The glaze is applied to the tile and melted. When the temperature drops, the glaze hardens, acquiring the properties of glass.

The final stage of production is firing. It is at this point that the facing material acquires the properties that allow it to be used for cladding various surfaces.The firing process is carried out in special ovens for 30-60 minutes.

A single firing involves covering the tile with glaze and subsequent firing. In this way, floor material is produced. The wall tile is fired twice - first, the dried billet, and then the glazed or engobe-coated part.

The use of double firing allows you to expand the range of design solutions and to use for decorating additional materials, such as metallized glazes, vitrose, chandeliers, materials that mimic gold and platinum.

For the manufacture of friezes, inserts, borders, the source material is the same tile. It is simply applied appropriate decor, then it is burned and cut into the appropriate formats.
