Zabutovochny brick - this is a normal (red) building brick, which has flaws in appearance. The outer walls of it are usually not built, as they will have a not very beautiful look. Its size can be very different, but the most common - brick 250x1250x65 mm. and 250x120x88 mm.

However, the drawbacks of a brick are at the same time its advantages: it is much cheaper due to flaws. And this is very often the main factor when choosing materials for construction.

It can be used for the construction of walls, which will later be sheathed with other materials or lined or decorated.Then all the chips and flaws will be hidden under other materials.

A building built of bricks will look immaculately when using special facing bricks. The above-mentioned roughness, although it has a repulsive appearance, but at the expense of irregularities has good adhesion to cement.

Poor appearance and a small marriage in the manufacture does not mean that this is due to any additional risks. Because there are quite specific requirements of GOST. They guarantee that the construction of such bricks will last for a long time.

Zabutovochny brick

Usually zabutovochny bricks are not made specifically, but are a by-product of production.

However, they have the same characteristics:

  • good frost resistance
  • strength,
  • sizes convenient for construction.

There are various markings "M100", "M200", "M150", etc.

The number after the letter M means the maximum load:

  • For example, M200 means that there can be a load of no more than 200 kg per 1 cm2. It is perfect for the construction of the foundation.
  • And M150 and M100 can be used to build a one-story building.

The presence of voids reduces thermal conductivity, which significantly increases the preservation of heat in the house. So this is another plus in favor of the use of zabutovochnogo bricks in the outer walls.

In the end, I would like to note that the lack of appearance is more than compensated by the cost. And the appearance of the walls can always be corrected by various methods.
